Long sensitive to environmental conservation, s.a. Aigremont n.v. signed the FEVIA industry-wide agreements, undertook to conform with the Kyoto Protocol, and in this line commits itself to limiting its greenhouse-gas emissions.
Under the guidance of Philippe Thiry, owner and managing director, Aigremont invested in a renewable-energy cogeneration plant. Since the summer of 2005, this plant has been producing the heat and electricity needed by s.a. Aigremont n.v. for its operations.
It is different from other existing facilities as it operates based on animal or vegetable oils and fats and is equipped with all of the gas-processing systems needed to respect the norms regarding atmospheric pollutant emissions set by the Walloon Region.
To embody this initiative, Aigremont created a “Green Energy” logo. Since then, most of our products sport this label.
Due to its mode of operation, Aigremont’s cogeneration plant is the ideal solution for a company that cares about maintaining the quality of its environment, all the while guaranteeing that it has energy autonomy.
