A long-standing advocate of environmental protection, s.a. Aigremont n.v., a signatory of the FEVIA branch agreements, volunteered to register under the Kyoto Protocol, thus committing to reduce its emissions of greenhouse gases.
Under the leadership of Philippe Thiry, owner and managing director, Aigremont s.a./n.v. has invested in a renewable energy cogeneration unit. Since the summer of 2005, this installation produces the heat and electricity required to operate s.a. Aigremont n.v..
This achievement stands out from other existing facilities as it works with oils and animal or vegetable fats and is equipped with all the gas treatment systems required to ensure strict compliance with air pollutant discharge standards imposed by the Walloon Region.
To materialise this initiative, s.a. Aigremont n.v. has created a “Green Energy” logo. Most products have since carried this label.
The cogeneration unit operated by s.a. Aigremont n.v. is ideal for a company wishing to preserve the quality of its environment while ensuring its energy independence.
